One election he really did win...

I found a really funny blog, dudehisattva

It's a new favorite.

This also...

Sigh, only 417 more days.

It's all good...well sort of.

This photo has hung over my desk for the last decade. It always makes me smile.

Eat Me (a little late)

I know, I know. I should have posted this yesterday. But it didn't fit my sincerely grateful mood. I love this movie, Addams Family Values. The cast was truly perfect.
Here Pugsley sings his Thanksgiving song, a holiday classic in our home. How about yours?

"We won't stay fresh for very long...so eat us before we finish this song."

Thankful

I have so much to be thankful for. I have a great family, incredible friends, a house I love, wonderful pets (who are truly like my kids), a boss I adore, a mother who is a best-friend, the best brother I could wish for, and a partner who I love with all my heart. I am so proud of him and so grateful that he's in my life. We're not money-rich but we have all that we need. I am sometimes overwhelmed by how lucky I am.

Tonight, as we sit at our table, I will once again be struck with incredible gratitude for the people that are in my life for I am truly blessed. This morning, I am reminded of a scene from Latter Days. Jacqueline Bisset makes a moving toast to her friends which is followed by beautiful comments by Steve Sandvoss. Today...I raise my glass to the people in my life and I say thank you.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I'm having an old friend for dinner...

This photo sits above my desk at work.

It makes me chortle.

What would you do for glittery shoes? Murder?

I have always loved Sophie Ellis-Bextor's song Murder on the Dance Floor. It's totally retrolicious!!! But I had never seen the video until the other day. Now I've fallen in love with the song all over again.

I wouldn't mess with her!

Star Trek vs. The Holy Grail

I don't normally post silly things, but I couldn't resist this...

"It is a silly place..."

November's 12 of 12

What's my favorite time of the month? Hello?!, it's the 12th, when I get a chance to join Chad and his friends in this celebration of our lives.

Here's Kali, wide awake at a little past 5am.
"Can we play???"

Matt trying on new earrings. November 12th has always been a great day to try new jewelry!

My long dark wet drive to work.

My dark, dark, dark ride home.

The price of gas makes me sad. Who's making all that money?

We invited our neighbor, Mrs LaMorte, over for dinner. She's been dead for several years...but we don't want to tell her...she makes a wonderful apple pie.

I love to have a Pacifico in a frosty mug before dinner. Oh, look. It's me in the tea pot.

Can you believe it? Anthuriums do so well in Seattle!

Here's Lola. She is a showgirl.

Matt makes a wonderful dinner for us and our guest. Stoli prays for Matt to drop something.

Hunter decides to spend some time in the loo. He makes such a mess because he never lifts the toilet seat! See, be careful what you wish for, girls!

Soon, very soon, Dina Martina will be putting on her annual Holiday Extravaganza! Must go!

Matt and I have a lot of pets (his idea). But each of them are so well behaved (yes, even the macaw). The dogs here will turn 11 next week. Every day they look at us with such incredible admiration and love. They are truly our family. I am most grateful for Matt and our ever-so-grateful kids.

This was sooo much fun to do. But for me the fun begins when I explore the pix others posted in Chad's 12 of 12. Check 'em out!

Michael Jackson picks his nose

I wouldn't normally post a picture of someone picking his nose...but hey, it's Michael Jackson!

But I won't post a picture of him blowing Bubbles!

The Talent Competition from Drop Dead Gorgeous

The Talent Competition from Drop Dead Gorgeous was hysterical. Why this movie wasn't a bigger hit or hasn't become a cult classic is beyond me.
Here are two of my favorite scenes.

Hehehehe!

When the East wind blows...

I missed this as a Halloween post. So let's just say it's an early Veteran's Day entry.

I always knew she was evil!

I had to change the song

Yesterday, I posted the lady who dancing to some weird music. The music just didn't seem right. She had more, um, spirit so I changed the song.

I feel better now. Your thoughts?

Dancing for God

I came across this giggle of a video on OMG. For some reason, I think they used the wrong song. It should have been Maniac by Michael Sembello.

I should figure out how to change the music.

Not one to miss a photo op

October was National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
And although he was late, president shrub has never been one to miss a photo op.

I think the boob is already there.

I Found Him!

Four questions...

I have four questions...

Why is he nude?
Why is he wearing those shoes?
Why the helmet?
And most importantly...shouldn't the helmet and shoes match?

They say a picture is worth a 1,000 words...

I can only think of 3...

What-the-hell ?

You know it's off to a bad start when...

Please note, this was not Britney.

Allow me to introduce you to Dima Bilan

I work with people from all over the globe. We are always playing songs for each other from our iPods. What a great way to share our cultures. There is a young lady from Russia who introduced me to the music of Dima Bilan. Dima took second place in last year's Eurovision's song contest.

This first song reminded me a little of Andy Bell. Though he's done several songs in English, I had never heard of him. (We're so insulated.)

Love the song, he's cute...but what's with the ballerinas and the mullet?

And now for a little eye candy...

He really can sing!

Hopefully, we'll hear more from this artist here in the US.

This is so non-PC, but...

Matt showed me this the other night and I've been laughing ever since.
It's Jeff Dunham and Achmed, the Dead Terrorist.

"Silence! I kill you"
