I thought the glasses used in John Carpenter's "They Live" were just a prop. Now Ex-White House Bitch, Scott McClellan now says that the glasses were standard issue throughout the shrub Whitehouse. It was the only way for humans to tell the differences between the aliens (Karl Rove, Condi Rice, and Ashcroft) and the undead, like Dick Cheney, Barbara Bush, and the lich queen, Ann Coulter.
