Thanks to
Chad Darnell's 12 of 12, the 12
th is my favorite day of the month.
It was a beautiful sunrise as I drove east to
Issaquah, the Land of the
Nouveau Rich.

This salmon sits on top of the credit union n
ext to the store I work,

This famous place sells
root beer and what I am guessing is PORN. I mean what else would have a triple X rating. Sitting in a dark corner of this out of the way
root beer stand was none other than Elliot
Spitzer. You didn't think all that money he was paying out to those hookers was just for sexual favors. They had to be giving him root beer, too! Very good root beer.

No pictures taken while at work...too depressing. However on the way home, I was snapping shots at anything that would smile or pose. This is I90, one of the longest floating bridges in the US....and then the bridge becomes a tunnel; one of the longest tunnels through soft dirt.

This was Miss
Lebratay. She wants to do your taxes.

Almost home, I took a detour...to the
Botanic Gardens.
I love these stairs. They are so self-assured and just a little bit sassy.

This is a very old tree of the genus Contorted
Sallykernus.
This tree actually stinks because it
rots from within.
Botanists have tried to move the tree, but have failed. It seems Contorted
Sallykernus doesn't like to be near 10% of the other trees! This tree believes that flowering trees are more deadly than loggers! On a brighter note, this tree makes its own manure for mulching!

This azalea pink flowers called out to me. They chanted and cooed, "Scooter, oh Scooter!"

This bench is actually a landmark of sorts. I don't know why.

Magnolias just about to explode! OW!

This cherry tree is right outside our house. Don't think Matt and I have tried to bring it inside...I mean, wouldn't this make a fierce centerpiece!!!

When I got home, I heard excited dogs on the other side of the fence. Not knowing for sure what I would see, I held the camera of the gate and took a picture. My guess was correct...it was Kali!

Today's bonus word was "Bokinotokko'ko"
I had NO idea what Bokinotokko'ko means and the closet definitions I came up with was either "Clam shell with ivory pieces gargled by fishing men" or "Ivory carved into a fishing village within a clam shell."

All in all it was a fun day made funner. Thanks, Chad!!!
