Today, Easter Sunday is the
12th of the month. That is when we celebrate
Chad Darnell's
12 of 12, where
bloggers all over the world share their day with pictures. Here are mine...
Every year, at the Seattle Garden Show, I get suckered into buying
praying mantis egg sacks. They never hatch. Never...except this year, when I left them in the house. We have a room that we use to overwinter our tropical plants,
plumeria,
hibiscus,
anthurium, etc. It's also where our
box turtles and
chinchilla are housed (not together). The other day, I went in to water the plants and was met with 100+ mantises.
How cute, no?
We were invited to our neighbors' house. It was an Easter/Passover Potluck.
We brought Hawaiian Ham Surprise. It was either that or
Peeps' Stir Fry.

In honor of Passover, we watched, or at least started watching
The Ten Commandments. Such a feel good movie.

We leave our Chocolate Easter Bunny up all year.
Matt made him a lovely cape of tulips.

Yesterday, I cut my hand while working in the garden. Matt takes such good care of me...he cleaned me up, bandaged me with Barbie, and sent me back to work with a kiss.

Our magnolias are blooming. So pretty.

It rained today. But my mom gave us this stained glass outdoor art thing to remind us of
poppies.

We are thinking of taking a vacation to
Molvania. I'm reading up so we'll know here NOT to go.

Easter is my favorite holiday. We always color eggs. But first we test them with the
Fresh Lab Deluxe kit.

I am creative when I color eggs.

My teapot self picture.

We have finished coloring our eggs. Guess which row I colored.

Friday was one of my FAVORITE artist's birthday. Do you know who she is? Bonus points if you can guess the video whence I took this photo.

Have you done a
12 of 12??? No?
Well next month, I'll be checking in on you.
