February's 12 of 12

Yesterday was the 12th of the month. That is when we celebrate Chad Darnell's 12 of 12, where bloggers all over the world celebrate and share their day with pictures. All pictures were taken on the 12th.

Two of our finches in the aviary. The cordon bleu is just gorgeous. I love listening to them sing now that spring is upon us.

I had the late shift at work. It's going to be a long day.

And...

This zygo cactus belonged to my great grandparents. It was passed on to my grandparents and then to my mom. She gave to me so that I could love it while she was still alive.

While most of the country is still experiencing winter. Seattle, on the other hand, is experiencing a very early spring.


It was a moist day in Seattle....

Cherry trees already blooming. Many started blooming in January!
